VEGAS BABY

We are going to Vegas on Thursday night and I have to say, even though I have been there half a dozen times, I am still totally excited every time! We are going to see Zumanity at New York, New York. That is where we are staying and I got a sweet room upgrade. I will let everyone know how the in room spa is =)~. We are also gonna have a ring ceremony (because we bought new wedding rings) with Elvis. I figured that would be fun. Other than that I don't have much to say. Hope everyones weekend is going smoothly!

Valentines day... so much pressure!

This will be a quick post because I have homework but I have something to say. Why exactly do we celebrate Valentines day? Is it a religious holiday gone awry? Is it an American atrocity created (as many believe) by Hallmark and American greetings to gouge us all for $2.50? I was at Target, buying a card (there goes my $2.50) and I witnessed the strained deer- in- headlights faces of many (men and women by the way) desperately trying to express their feelings with a piece of card stock, covered in glitter and sappy over-sentimental things that some lonely guy wrote in the basement of his mothers house (where he still lives at the age of 47). Why don't we just do nice things for each other spontaneously throughout the year instead of this mad rush on Feb 13th against the hordes of people unable to express themselves with anything other than 12 flowers that will die and some wax tasting chocolate in the shape of a heart? Not that I am any better.. I bought my card and gift like all of the rest of the lambs to slaughter.. but I also buy (and receive) little things that tell me I am thought of more than just one day a year.

What the fuck is up with Ambien???

So I have not been sleeping well. Who knows why. I am clueless. Last night Joe says, babe, why don't you try one of my Ambien so you will get a good nights rest. I say sure, why not? What could happen.? So fuckin much for that. Now, I did my partying when I was younger. I got all of my experimental drug phases out of the way. I am all for trying things out. I also want to add that I have no problem with hallucinogens. Now having said that.. it is one thing dropping acid and knowing that you are going to fry and quite another being surprised. I had no idea that I was going to freak out and not recognize my husband and think that my bedroom had expanded to 3 times it's size with odd people lurking in all corners. Poor Joe. He had to turn on the bathroom light and hold onto me because i started to shake and cry! WTF ambien?? Remind me not to borrow Joe's RX's again.
